Hamilton Township Fire Department, Franklin County Ohio has received
it's third new engine. Each of the engines are International chassis and
Pierce Contender bodies. Each are equipped with a 1250 gallon per minute
pump and a 1000 gallon ply tank. Each are designed to store rescue tools
out the rear roll-up door with a slide out tray. The three engines also
have a Honda 5000 watt generator on a slide out tray, with mounted scene
lights. Each carries 1000 feet of 5" hose, 600 feet of 3" hose, and 750
feet of 1 3/4" hose. These units were built at the Pierce Manufacturing
Plant in Sarasota, Florida. Chief Jerry L. Lupfer is proud of the new
fleet, which will stationed at the Township's two fire stations.

in Lockbourne for hot spots with the department's new thermal imaging camera.
The camera can help locate hidden fires in walls and ceilings and locate people in
smoke-filled buildings who might be trapped or passed out from smoke inhalation.
